Description:

FA-PEG-SH  is one of Ponsure reactive folate PEG derivatives that have a folic acid on one terminus of PEG chain and a thiol (-SH) group on the other PEG end. Folic acid is also known as vitamin M, vitamin B9 or pteroyl-L-glutamic acid. Folic acid is an essential bioactive molecule for numerous biological functions. It participates in the synthesis, repairing and methylation of DNA as well as to act as a cofactor in many biological reactions. Thiol functionalized folic acid PEG allows the attachment of folic acid to gold nanoparticles or other molecules through its reaction to thiol reactive groups, such as maleimide. PEG linker bridged folic acid and thiol offers better water solubility, flexible linker structure and enhanced stability. Molecules or materials conjugated with PEG folic acid are useful for targeted drug delivery, cellular imaging and bioassay development.

Handling and Use:

FA-PEG-SH  is sensitive to light and temperature. For best use, material should always be kept in low temperature in dry condition. Protect from light.
