N3-PEG-SH is one of Ponsure thiolated Click Chemistry PEG derivatives. Azide reacts with alkyne group efficiently in aqueous solution catalyzed by cooper ions. 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between alkyne and azide is a high yield Click Chemistry reaction that enables conjugation of two correspondent molecules together with high efficiency. Azide can also react with strain promoted cyclooctyne without need any catalyst. Meanwhile, thiol/sulfhydryl group can react with a variety of thiol reactive groups such as maleimides, vinyls, iodoacetyl, etc. It can also be used for gold particle or film modifcation due to strong binding affinity between thiol and noble metal surfaces. PEG linker between azide and thiol offers better water solubility, flexible linker structure and enhanced stability.
Handling and Use:
N3-PEG-SH is sensitive to light and temperature. For best use, material should always be kept in low temperature in dry condition.
