Description:
NH2-PEG-OH is one of Ponsure heterobifunctional PEGcrosslinkers that have a hydroxyl group and an amine group linked by a linearPEG chain with different length. Amine groups can react with a number of aminereactive groups, such as NHS, carboxylic acid, epoxide and aldehyde. Hydroxygroups, on the other hand, can be activated for other chemical reactions. PEGlinker between amine and hydroxy group offers good water solubility andflexible linker length. Reactions from amine and hydroxyl group allow fast and efficientpegylation of proteins, antibodies, particles and other materials. PEGylationcan increase stability and reduce immunogenicity of pegylated biomolecules. It canalso suppress the non-specific binding of charged molecules to the modifiedsurfaces.
