Description:
mPEG-NHS is an amine (-NH2) reactive PEG derivativethat can be used to modify proteins, antibodies, peptides and many othermaterials via their available amino groups. NHS esters react with primary aminegroup at pH 7~10 to form a stable amide bond. Reaction between NHS and amineallows fast and efficient attachment of PEG to reacting molecules. Compared toother PEG NHS ester derivatives, (mPEGNHS/SCM) ester offers superior reactivityand higher stability in aqueous solution. NHS PEG products provided by Ponsurehave high purity, narrow molecular weight distribution and excellent reactivity.Primary amines react with NHS PEG esters by nucleophilic attack and NHS isreleased as a byproduct. Hydrolysis of the NHS-ester competes with the reactionin aqueous solution and increases with increasing pH.
Handlingand Use:
mPEG-NHS is sensitive to light and temperature. Forbest use, material should always be kept in low temperature in dry condition.
